PROJECT „GUINEA PIG SHELTER“

My name is Petra Matijević and I´m from Zagreb. These in the picture of my guinea pig pets - Ljub, Kugla, Dasty and Lars. I love guinea pigs very much, and I treat them like my family members.

There are many guinea pig owners in Croatia who buy or adopt them for a short time and then no longer want them. They try to adopt them, and when no one wants them in a short time, they leave them even outside in the winter or heat.

So, I decided to made one of my wishes come true that would help these little cute creatures. I want to establish an association and shelter that would accept abandoned, sick and unwanted guinea pigs and other small animals. We would take care of them, love them, take them to the vet when they are sick and try give them to people who really want them. If suitable foster parents are not found in the shelter, they will have all the love and attention they need.

The shelter will be modestly, but should contain the basics for a decent life for the little ones. The basic and most important things that shelter will need are small houses, houses, blankets, food and water, as well as warming so that they are not cold in winter.

So I ask you to support my idea and help me provide a home full of love, care and a beautiful life to abandoned little animals before the winter comes.

Pozdrav svijete!

Moje ime je Petra Matijević i dolazim iz Zagreba. Ovo na slici su moji kućni ljubimci zamorčići – Ljub, Kuglica, Dasty i Lars. Veoma volim zamorce, a svoje smatram članovima obitelji.

U Hrvatskoj ima mnogo vlasnika zamoraca koji ih kupe ili udome na kratko vrijeme, a onda ih više ne žele. Pokušavaju ih udomiti, a kada se ne javi nitko u kratkom roku ostave ih čak i vani na zimi ili vrućini.

Stoga sam odlučila ostvariti jednu svoju želju koja bi pomogla tim malenim slatkim bićima. Želim osnovati udrugu i prihvatilište koje bi prihvaćalo ostavljene, bolesne i neželjene zamorce i druge male životinje. O njima bismo vodili brigu, pazili ih, mazili, vodili veterinaru kada su bolesni te ih udomljavali kod ljudi koji ih uistinu žele. Ukoliko se ne nađu prikladni udomitelji u prihvatilištu će imati svu ljubav i pažnju koja im je potrebna.

Prihvatilište bi bilo skromno, ali treba sadržavati osnovne stvari za pristojan život malenih. Osnovno i najvažnije što im treba su malene kućice, nastambe, dekice, hrana i voda kao i grijanje da im zimi nije hladno.
