Project for Graduation

WHY?
I wanna be a DJ and music producer because i love music and

creating music. I have started to produce music i my studio. The DJ

part, in front of a crowd comes later.
What do a DJ do?
A DJ is

what you think of when you here the word DJ, changing tracks. A DJ still

change tracks but he loops and he ad filters and so on. Some DJ's today

also do their own music in the studio, that's a music producer.
What do a music producer do?
A

music producer do what it sounds like, he produce music. A DJ and a

music producer is like a singer that writes his own song. You produce

you music in the studio and you perform it on the stage, behind the

booth. Just like a singer that sings on stage.
Where?
A DJ

perform on stage behind the booth. You work late nights and for many

hours but that depends how long the concert are. It's the work in the

studio that's takes time!
Where?
A music producer works in the

studio most of the time. You travel a lot and you always carry your

computer with you so you kind of work all the time. In the studio you

have all of the instruments you need so you can't just work with your

computer.
Skills you need
First of all you need interest as

in all jobs. You got to be creative, and have a feeling for music. You

cannot be a DJ without being technical to plug in a DJ set and all the

speakers and instruments in the studio. It's a lot of different music

programs you have to learn and that takes time. Most of the DJ's in the

world was computer nerd before they became DJ's.
All around the world
As

a DJ and music producer you work all around the world. Most of the

great DJ's in the world is from USA, Sweden, France and from

Netherlands. Sweden should be proud of having so many great DJ's because

it's not easy to be a successful DJ and music producer because you

have to do music that people like. As an amateur DJ that work's in the

clubs the conditions is pretty alike in Stockholm and on Ibiza.
Label's
A

lot of great DJ's and music producers own their own label. For example

Steve Angello own his own label, Size Records. Same as Axwell own's

Axtone and so on. The easiest way to become a great DJ is to start

working on a big label.
Pay
Your pay as a DJ and music producer is

good if your are good. You have to do music that people like. World's

best DJ earns about 150 million kr a year. Even an amateur DJ that plays

in the club get okay paid.
