WHO WE ARE
We are The Farm: Where Living Things Grow, Inc. We are a non-profit (501(c)(3)) organization in Fremont, MI. We offer a youth and family educational and mental health program. We do this with traditional, eco. and equine therapy. Some of the programs we offer are:
-counseling for all ages (for depression, anxiety, learning disabilities, testing, school issues, and ADD/ADHD)
- Developing self-esteem, confidence and competencies
- experts in helping all ages heal, grow and transcend abuse and neglect
- post adoption program helping youth and adults deal with special needs area
The Farm is committed to Heritage animals-breed that are endangered of becoming extinct. We are committed to helping re-establish and protect these beautiful historic animals that were once vital to establishing our country. People are encouraged to come meet and learn about them. Learn how you can make a difference by helping to ave them, every life is important.
In the past 15 years, 190 breeds of farm animals have become extinct worldwide. There are currently 1,500 breeds at risk of becoming extinct. In the past 5 yer alone 60 breeds of cattle, goats, pigs, horses and poultry have become extinct.
WHAT WE NEED
We have a working farm (where the tractor is desperatey needed) where children and families in need go to help themselves heal by caring for the land and animals on The Farm. We need this tractor to mow the land, till the gardens, help care for the animals, and move the snow we get in our dreaded Michigan winters.
This tractor will significantly reduce the amount of time we are working so we can spend more time healing. The animals will be more properly cared for as we will have more time for them as well!
