Hello, my name is Zack Woolard, but on the internet I am Cookie. My family has been struggling for the past few months, getting financial help from my grandparents. They have pumped water to us, paid a lot of bills like for my moms car. Even worse, my parents are addicted to cigarettes, cutting more money out of our funds. I'm not a starving child in need on the street, I'm a teenager who's family's financial ability is steadily going down. My mom got in a wreck, the car is totalled, and her license taken. Though she did it, we all pay for it with therapy bills, car repairs, and not to mention the car bill still not being paid off. My dad wakes up at 3am every morning to go to work, and doesn't come home until as late as 7-8pm that night, only seeing him when he takes us to school. I try to help my dad, but he cannot drive us to school all the time because of his heavy work load, I'm afraid he'll get fired. As for my two sisters and I, we are not exposed to the troubles my parents are going through, they try not to let it show. The only inconvenience we have is almost 24/7 second hand exposure from the smoking, but all the donations in the world couldn't fix that.
Our house: The door broke off and we cannot afford to get a new one, the air conditining and heating is failing. Our lawnmower is on the verge of breaking, those arent the cheapest things to replace, even push mowers.
About me: I am getting a job at the age of 15, I will go to work with my dad in the mornings, I will help with bills and supporting the family. I do housecare, lawncare, petcare, am a math tutor for my sisters who are getting behind in school, and I do work for my grandpa to pay him back every way possible.
We are not in dyer need of money like some, but we really would like some help back on our feet. Every amount counts, just think if everyone in the U.S. donated a penny alone. That would be around 30,000 dollars! All that from something you can find on the floor? that sure is nice :)
