Project Cambodia

  Hello friends and family!!!    My volunteer humanitarian and conservation project in Cambodia is coming up this summer!!! I can't tell you how exited I am to experience another culture. But I would love your help!! Let me tell you a little about the project. Over the span of three weeks, I will be working in Siam Reap in an effort to aid and support local villages. During my time in Cambodia, I will be teaching, learning, building, leading and pushing my boundaries in an effort to improve the lives and eductional value of individuals that otherwise wouldn't improve.  Local orphanages offer some protection and education, and these are vital for the local chidren to grow up safely. The children are eager to learn and have dreams and desires to earn a living or themselves one day. With our volunteer efforts, schools can provide an educational experience like they have never experienced. As a volunteer group, we will be focussing on basic needs, health, sanitation and education for these local villages. We will be building Bio-sand filters, which can provide 98% pure drinking water. We will also be working to improve agricultural standings by planting gardens to improve the village's intake of cash crops to sell in marketplaces. We will be working very day and putting forth every effort to improve the stablity of Siam Reap's villages, while friendships between volunteer and Cambodian become more eduring.
