“PROGETTO ALESSANDRA”

Good morning,

My name is Marco Rosati, my wife, Alessandra Spadoni, left us on Aprile18th 2016.

Alessandra was only 39 years old when she left not only me, but also our two wonderful children aged 12 and 6.

Alessandra has been an oncological patient for 6 years; she has been cured and laudably followed in the oncological ward of the Lugo di Romagna hospital (Ravenna, Italy).

During our stay in Lugo, my wife knew and frequently started to spend time with people operating under “Margherita Project”. These people, operating in Ravenna, they welcomed Alessandra as a daughter.

The main goal of this project is to offer, at no charge, wigs to oncological patients who face a deeply delicate moment of their hair falling, due to strong therapies they are exposed to.

During any of the visits there, my wife always used to have a smile, made even bigger at the departure, with a new hair look, ready to face with new life and her own perseverance her terrible disease.

Her dream was to bring the same project in our city, Rieti, and in her memory I started this new venture named “Alessandra Project”.

All of this has been possible with the permission and with all the advice about oncological wig the people from the original project in Ravenna gave us.

For this reason, there is a room in the main place of “Giorgio e Silvia” non-profit organization centre, available one day per week, where all women who had contact with our organization can have her own wig properly placed by a professional hair stylist. All of our professional hair stylist are volunteers, they support women in choosing the cut and the colour they prefer for the wig, in order to avoid all of them this charge that may increase their uneasiness in this situation. During wig’s pose, the volunteers with the Association will completely assist oncological patient.

I am writing this message because I would like you to support us in this project that is only a dream to help all women that, due to an oncological disease, have to face the very intimal moment of hair loss, a moment that causes uneasiness I everyday moments with other people, but most of all with oneself.

To defend oneself beauty and take back oneself life, in order to honour in the best way the memory of a great woman, a great mum, a great bride, as Alessandra and I wanted and want to do.
