I am Anna Fodor from Hungary, living in Belgrade, Serbia.
Moving to Serbia really raised my existing awareness to garbage, and garbage collection, as garbage all around is really a huge organizational but also cultural problem in Serbia.
There are so many garbage around us, and we just walk past it day by day. I would like to stop that habit, and start collecting it and throwing it to the garbage can, where it should be instead of the nature, in the park or on the street.
I was in the most beautiful place, 2500 meters high, surrounded by nature and beauty and mountain lakes, no garbage around luckily. And then my feet bumped into a hand sanitizer bottle. I suspect, it has just fallen out of someones backpack by mistake, as people tend not to throw gargabe, where there is none around. I could have just leave it there, but I picked it up, and throw it out when we came down from the mountain.
And it gave me the idea how much I personally can do. I would like to become a Professional garbage collector, and clean as many places - special ones, and ordinary as well - from garbage as I can.
I would start in the Avala mountain, close to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. I will document my projects, and upload pictures about what did I find, and how much gargabe did I collect per place.
I am collecting funds for running this project, including buying the equipment, organizing the project and the actual garbage collection, and funding the documentation: a blog or a website.
If you find my goal interesting, please help me clean our earth a little bit!
