No more donations are being accepted at this time. Please contact the campaign owner if you would like to discuss further funding opportunities
With the looming changes to the Children's Act in South Africa, stating that no money may be paid towards adoption (including social workers, psychologists, NGO's, Adoption Agencies, etc.) hold potentially devastating effects on the adoption process and the already strained system.
If you want to read more on this, please check out https://www.procare.co.za/adoptions-blog/2019/1/17/adoption-alert
With this in mind, we are running (or walking) to create awareness and to raise funds in order to alleviate some of that strain and possibly give a child a chance to join a loving family.
IT ALL STARTS HERE!
Buy a T-Shirt (T-shirt orders have ended) and join the worldwide run on 29 February 2020.
2020 also marks the 25th birthday of PROCARE, one of South Africa’s most reputable Adoption Agencies who decided to join hands with concerned members of the public to champion this campaign.
Any donations would be appreciated, but a donation of R350 buys you a T-Shirt for the run*. T-shirts will only be available until 31 December 2019, but donations can be made until the day of the run.
There is also some advertising space available on the T-shirts! The three donors that donate the highest amount above R10000 can also have their logos or message printed on the shirts along with the PROCARE logo***.
So how does it work?
Simple!
Step 1 - Join the PROCARE Adoption Awareness Run club event on Strava for free.
Step 2 - Donate on this page and get your branded T-shirt.
Step 3 - Run with your branded T-shirts!
Most importantly! - Post as many photos, comments, blogs on social media, to raise awareness about the event and the cause.
If you are not yet registered on Strava, go have a look at https://www.strava.com/clubs/549338 or download the app on your phone to track your progress.
T-Shirts will be distributed during the month of February, to ensure that everybody has their T-shirts for those selfies and group photos while running!**
Notes:
*T-shirts only available within South Africa. Please indicate your size in the comments section when donating (S, M, L, XL, XXL). If a size is not stipulated, it will default as Large.
**In order to ensure that you receive your T-shirt, please stipulate as much contact & address details as possible when donating.
***Please contact the campaign organizer through the message box on the right of the page for T&C.
