Campaign Story
As the pandemic continues to soar in our province of Northern Samar, we deemed it necessary to opt for a modular learning approach so as to ensure that no learner will be left behind. However, no matter how the government says we have the fund to sustain this kind of platform, the actual needs in the field is still could not be covered by the budget being sent over by the National. Supplies of bond papers, ink as well as duplicator machines are scarce.
In our school alone which caters to a total of 4,000 school children from Kindergarten to Grade Six, and has a teaching staff of 75 teachers, could not be accommodated by only 10 inkjet printers. There are NO heavy-duty duplicator machines which could print out at least 35-40 pages per minute and meet the demand for a weekly distribution of modules. What happens is, lessons are lacking behind, the competencies which should have been learned by the children are not being successfully cascaded because of this scarcity.
It is in this context that I appeal to you for your concrete support and that I would be funded with a Laserjet printer which produces an output of 35 pages per minute so I could provide my 6th graders with a complete module for their weekly learning at home. The plight of teachers during this pandemic is a challenge, but with your benevolent and generous gestures, I strongly believe that everything will be manageable.
I am looking forward to your kind donations. May God bless you, cheerful giver!
