Hi,

My name is Prince... actually, its BoB... well, I guess I go by Prince-BoB now according to my newly adopted family and the doctors anyways.

You see, the past few weeks have been extremely trying for me and the kind individuals that chose to save my life...

I am a proud short-haired feline that hails from East-Central Florida. My original owners moved away and left me to fend for myself several years ago and the streets became my new home. I have been fighting for everything I can call my own over the years.

One day, I noticed a new young couple had moved into one of the homes that borders one of my territories, I decided to investigate them a bit closer...

"... you can never be to cautious with humans these days, I have the X-rays and bullet fragment under my pelt to prove the seriousness of how cruel and dangerous some humans can be... "

As time passed by, I found this young couple to be very kind, as they always leave me food and water in the mornings before departing to work...

Roughly two weeks ago, I awoke to abdominal pain so excruciating, I could not even walk. All I could do was drag myself to their doorstep. I laid there for hours, writhing in pain, awaiting for them to return, uncertain of my fate...

Later that evening upon finding me, they immidiatly new I was not myself and made me as comfortable as possible. With haste, I was placed into a small box with beach towels and rushed to the Animal Urgent Care center, roughly 15 miles away...

My prognoses was eventually declared fatal. I unfortunately had a rare condition that 1/50 outdoor male cats may encounter in a lifetime. My urinary track was completely blocked, causing my bladder to swell to the size of a grapefruit leaving my urethral tissue compromised.

The only options were corrective surgery, or immediate euthanasia. My rescuers were heart broken.

They were faced with a serious decision, having already spent over $500 for urgent care intake, X-rays, pain medication and diagnosis...

Complacent with a strong morphine dose, I thought to myself...

"... i had a good run... four and half years of outdoor living... not many abandoned domestic cats get to experience such freedoms... I should be thankful for the time I had... and the kindness provided to me by my caregivers..."

After a lot of tears and an hour of deliberating, they had reached their decision. I will never forget their response when the veterinarian asked how they had decided to proceed...

" ... he is our special outdoor friend... we cannot bring ourselves to destroy him... he has such personality... we would not be able to forgive ourselves... we choose to save him, and adopt him as our own... he is part of our family now, no cost can ever replace that ... "

I have since been recovering in their home for several weeks now, the path has not been easy on my new family.

In addition to my medical bills, they have dedicated hours of their time administering medications, changing my bedding, bandages, and fulfilling the required daily re-visitation treatments to help my speedy recovery after work everyday.

I did promise them I will catch 5,700+ vermin to repay them but I am reaching to this community to help repay my loving family, any donations will help immensely.

Or if you would be so kind as to share my story with others, my family and I will be eternally grateful.
