Prevention Education and Intervention for Youth

Last year Substance Abuse Council educated over 4,000 youth in Grayson and Fannin counties concerning the importance of having strong mental health and the dangers of drugs, alcohol and tobacco through the Positive Action program. Our Strengthening Families program and facilitators improved the lives of 21 families in our night classes held at Substance Abuse Council and is available to families in Grayson, Cooke and Fannin counties. We attend most community events in the surrounding counties to share prevention education as often as we can with both youth and adults. Our team works with passion and purpose!

Substance Abuse Council is a 501©3 non-profit organization and we have been in business since 1982. We are seeking funding to sustain these very important programs.
