Many of you might have heard a lot of heartbroken stories about child abuse at Daycares and Kindergartens in Vietnam.  In the last several years, International news agencies reported more and more cases of child abuse at these places. In 2007, La Voix Des Jeunes, a newspaper based in the country, reported that a teacher duck taped a child’s mouth to keep her from crying and left unattended. The child later died of suffocation and the case was described as “an accident!” In December 2013, nursemaids at a preschool in Ho-Chi-Minh city were accused of frequently abusing and torturing preschoolers. Various types of tortures were reported, such as beating, strangling, pressing heads on the ground, holding noses with towels, slapping faces, and even holding the children upside down over a barrel of water, threaten to drop them into it Click here.

In January, two babysitters were each sentenced to three years in jail for slapping pre-school studentsin their face and hitting them at their noses for slow eating. Although the Vietnamese government is trying to address these rampant issues, the effects were very little since very few have been caught while so many never reported.

To help parents watching their kids while at work and law enforcement bringing those committed these crimes to justice, we, a group of engineers at Nhuan-Quang Limited Company, plan to install surveillance cameras at the daycares and kindergarten facilities at no cost and free software setup and services so that parents can access the cameras from PC’s or smart phones. We will volunteer 100% our working hours but your donation is needed to purchase cameras and related hardware. Hope together we can end or substantially reduce this vicious cycle of abuse that will leave many children in emotional pain for years after their physical scars have healed. We guaranty that 100% of your donation will be used for this purpose. On the behalf of parents and kindergarteners from where we serve, we thank you in advance for your generous donations.

  • I've heard so many cases of child abuse at daycares and kindergartens in Vietnam; therefore installing surveillance cameras in these facilities is an excellent idea to prevent such inhumane acts. It also helps parents to watch their children while at works and law enforcement to bring those criminals to justice. Its a good project!
