Help travel to Mexico to present accepted Research Paper at the Conference for Academia against Corruption in the Americas (ACA)

My name is Florin Badita, for my work as an anti corruption activist, Forbes selected me on the 30 under 30 Europe in Law&Policy list, and Euronews nominated me as European Personality of the year.

2017 began in Bucharest, Romania, with massive protests that had more than half a million people protesting in the streets. Attempts by the political class to weaken the power of justice to their benefit determined people to seize their role in preserving democracy and the rule of law. Also in 2015 afer sending 7000 FOIA requests I developed the Anti corruption Toolkit for Freedom of Information Act (ACTFOIA) << (link with examples)

I applied with the ACTFOIA methodology abstract to the ACA conference,

I received with great pleasure the news that my abstract was selected and I am expected to deliver my presentation there on the 19th of May.

The problem is that they do not provide transportation and accommodations for going to the conference, even for speakers and researchers presenting there.

And because I`m doing activist work full time and I don't have the funds to pay for the plane ticket and hotel from my own funds.

This is why I am setting up gogetfunding crowdfunding, so that I can go to Mexic and present my findings, and also be able to learn and meet other anti corruption activists and academia that are producing social change in their own country.

I estimate that I would need $1600 to be able to accomplish this

$900 for the plane ticket.

$300 local transport to from airport, food

$100 euro to renew my passport.
