Prem baby – no medical aid

Hi Everyone! My niece went into early labor (31 weeks) & were admitted to a private hospital on Monday 20 March. She had been on my dad's medical aid for years & the understanding was that the baby would naturally go onto the same medical aid. On Friday 24 March the doctor made decided that the baby would need to be delivered as it seems that his got infection in his lungs. Because he is prem (approximately 31.5 weeks gestation) & it seems that he may have problems with his lungs, he will have to be admitted to NICU immediately after birth. The medical aid is not accepting him & will not be covering any of these costs! The hospital requires a R100 000 deposit before agreeing to admit him once born. We are trying to find space in a decent government hospital, but until then we need him to be properly cared for. Our family will appreciate any contribution towards this baby's medical costs.
