Update for Bb. Daphnie - Day 29 in Neonatal ICU
Baby Daphnie is now on her 29th days of life,
34 1/7 weeks corrected age which is still too far to her term age. We are happy to say that it's been her 10th day since she had her surgery (ileostomy) and everything seems going well. She excreted her feces through the said opening. She was intubated (a tube inserted through the mouth down to trachea which is attached to Mechanical Ventilator) to aid breathing throughout the surgery until on her 20hrs post operatively. She tolerated the weaning of oxygen up until last Oct 17,2020 that she no longer need any oxygen support. Breastmilk was then introduced last Oct 20, 2020 for about 1ml every 6hrs and been gradually increase. As of now, her feeding is 4ml every 3hrs and it is given via OGt (Orogastric tube- inserted through the mouth down to the stomach).
PS. Please Note that Baby Daphnie's condition requires a close monitoring. Thus, her length of stay is uncertain that piles up her medical bills. We are knocking to your generous hearts and if you know an individual or foundation whom you think can help please let us know.

Today I saw a father and a cousin that even if he doesn't want or hesitant to ask a donation toward his newly born daughter, I gave him comfort... Sometimes: "Happiness doesn't result from what we get, but from what we give." - Ben Carson
