Please pray for my Grandma. Her name is Josepina Bornilla (age 83) and she's been in the hospital for some time now (3rd week of May 2018) and she isn't getting better. She was hospitalised due to emotional stress caused by the death of her child Renato Bornilla (age 58) on this May 2018. She's still in the hospital, unconscious and unresponsive and this is due to instantaneous increase of her blood sugar levels which leads to stroke as the blood clots in her brain. The neurologist doctor treated her condition for weeks and recently informed us that there has been some progress concerning about the poor blood circulation inside her head. Now, they lowered the dosage of her neurological medications. However, she's still in a frail shape since she's suffering from pneumonia. She's having trouble breathing recently so in order to improve her breathing they gave her a ventilator support machine to receive oxygen. Then, the doctors gave her a nasopharyngeal suction machine to remove secretions such as phlegm from her upper airways. She's about to receive her third set of antibiotic which is very strong due to her progressive pneumonia.

She will undergo in tracheostomy which is a surgical procedure to create an opening in her neck for direct access to the trachea (the breathing tube). The doctors said that there will be risk in this procedure since my grandma is old and weak but they explained that this surgery is significant for a long term mechanical ventilation. The tracheostomy surgery of my grandma will be in any day of this week. (first week of June 2018)

She is a fighter. I, one of her grandchildren, traveled back to the Philippines from Australia just to see her. I want to provide strength and motivation for her recovery. I am studying distantly far away from her but we often see each other via skype. I remembered the last time that we talked on skype (during the burial of my uncle). She was so sad that she often forgot to take her meals, medications and a proper sleep. We told her that we will go back to the Philippines just to support and provide strength for her. But, she refused and told us that she'll be fine. She cried and said, "Please... Dont go back here just to see me. It will be so hard for me to let you go again if you did. It will feel like i lost someone i love all over again."

It breaks my heart seeing her in a frail condition. I went to her room and saw her fragile state. I whispered to her ears that we are here by her side and we will take care of her. She sobbed and hardly tried to open her eyes as the tear drops right after she heard my voice. I told her to not worry and just keep fighting.

Iā€™m asking for help from my family, relatives, friends and everyone who love her so much. Our goal is to raise money for my grandma's long-term medical assistance. We appreciate all and any help.

Also, please say a prayer for her health and recovery or keep her in your thoughts.

I would like to thank those people for their prayers, love and support.

Thanks!
