Prakash Deep is a slum school for underprivileged children in Faridabad who are left on the streets to fend for themselves while their parents go to work. Many of these children come from slum communities where they have very little access to clean water, food and beds, let alone education.
This slum school, (founded by a remarkable woman, Dr Savita Datt), aims to guide these children out of their harsh and unfair surroundings, providing love and support to help them to realise their hopes and dreams for the future. Held in a nearby public playground where children sit under trees for shade, Prakash Deep supports approximately 300 students whereby children receive free education, a mid-day meal and basic medical care.
Prakash Deep means 'drops of light'; a truly symbolic name given to this school full of the happiest, well-mannered and loving children you will ever meet. Please help by donating even the smallest amount to this incredibly inspirational cause.
