APPEAL FOR SPONSORSHIP: POWERLIFTING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

I am an enthusiastic, never-say-die 23-year-old, who is an avid fitness enthusiast.

I am currently working as a Community Service Dietitian, in a small town called eNgcobo, in the Eastern Cape, at All Saints Hospital.

I started powerlifting in 2016, before suffering an injury (complete tear of the Achilles tendon), which put me out of major physical activity for a year. Through hard work and dedication, I re-entered the competitive scene and competed at Nationals in Pretoria on the 16th of June 2018, where I was selected to represent South Africa at the Powerlifting World Championships being held in Orlando, Florida in the U.S.A from the 5th to the 10th of November 2018.

As the World Powerlifting Congress (WPC) does not pay any costs towards National or International Competitions, athletes have to obtain sponsorships in order to attend these prestigious events.

I see no greater honour than to represent my Country in a sport and it would therefore be a dream come true to be able to participate at this esteemed event. However, I cannot afford the costs associated with this event and therefore appeal to you for a sponsorship in order to make this great opportunity a reality.

I am the only athlete from the Eastern Cape to have been selected to represent the South African Team and would therefore be honoured to not only hold the SA Flag high, but also that of my province.

Any contribution you can make towards getting me there would be highly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Justin Crous
