POST COMA SUPPORT for Christen and baby Sienna

Last week our family were told that my sister in law and baby had a very small chance of survival after Christen had a seizure that put her into a Coma. Baby Sienna arrived 3 weeks early with Mum still recovering from last weeks life threatening experience.

The family are so grateful for the amount of practical and financial support that has meant that we were able to provide accessibly baby equipment and newborn care items in preparation for an early delivery with Christen's mobility likely effected by the coma for some time yet (full breakdown of expenditure will be updated once we make our amazon order).

With the family seeking a formal diagnosis for Christen to assist in her long term care plan (she may likely have mobility/speech/cognitive challenges for some time) we are looking to hire the services of both a postnatal doula (£20ph) who can provide additional emotional and practical support for her and Sienna as well as an Independent Midwife (£1,600 for 6 weeks) for medical postnatal care and assistance with referrals to other consultants and services to aid in her journey to recovery. With 4 other children to care for my brother will likely not be able to return to work for some time so this appeal will also include supermarket vouchers as well as any emergency needs for the family.
