About Me:    I'm a 25 year old veteran of the US ARMY and currently hold an associates degree in Computer Networking Systems. During my childhood I always had the desire to make a impact on humanity. I saw nothing but war and violence, famine and crime. The casualties of which have always been the human race. I joined the ARMY in my youth to help pave a better way for a country towards what I believed was freedom. I quickly realized that this was not the proper solution and in turn saw the devastating effects of war as people came back missing limbs and having extreme amounts of psychological damage inflicted upon them.

It was then that I decided I did not want to be a soldier. There were better ways to make a difference. Not just for me but for everybody. I wanted everybody to enjoy a high quality of life free of famine and disease, death and destruction. I always knew it was possible but struggled to figure out what it is I, one person could do. What could I give to the world? What would be my gift to the human race?

I decided to enroll in college at ITT Technical Institute to pursue a associates degree, just to get some college credits under my belt in the mean time. 16 months in I knew I had made a mistake. One day while browsing the internet I came across an article detailing the possibilities of bioengineering and robotic engineering. Great strides were being made in medical science. New nano delivery systems were being developed to release medicines within the blood without having to actually take any form of drug. Research was being done on artificial limbs for soldiers and civilians that had lost an appendage in a accident or attack, a man that was born blind was finally able to see thanks to a implant in his eye. What a wonderful job I thought to myself. Then it dawned on me. This is what I want to be. This is who I will become. I told myself "I will dedicate my life to these types of research.". Finally after all these years I felt I had a calling. A passion awoke in me that day that I had never felt before in my life. I had meaning.

I finished up my associates and decided to enroll in a local university to pursue my Ph.D. in bioengineering. I knew I had the ambition and intelligence to succeed but I ran into a road block in my life's journey to give back to society. Money. The degree that I obtained from ITT left me in the hole 24,000 dollars. Now unbeknownst to me at that time there is a limit to how much in loans you can get for undergraduate degrees. I thought to myself "No big deal." once I found this out as I had plenty of money left to borrow since I had already completed 2 years of college. After you obtain your 4 year degree the loan limit cap increases to allow you to pursue a graduate degree. However I was devastated to find out that not one of my credits would transfer over to my university I would have to start from scratch as a freshman. I no longer had enough money to finish a 4 year degree. I plead to you world help me make an impact on life for the positive. Give me the gift of education and in return I will give my life in pursuit of knowledge to better help the human race.

Life Goal:    I would like to obtain my Ph.D. in bioengineering to improve the quality of life for the human species through research. One of the current issues we have with interfacing life saving technology into the human body is that us as organic beings reject synthetic materials. I plan on pursuing research that will lead to better ways of interfacing organic material with synthetic. Imagine losing an arm in a accident and being retrofitted with a real synthetic arm, one that is interfaced with your nerves so you can feel your child or loved ones skin. This to many is just a dream. I plan on making this a reality. Aside from research dedicated to interfacing the human body with technology I plan on researching strengthening the immune system and slowing down the effects of aging so that we can enjoy life. Imagine living in a world where the average lifespan of a human being is 200 years of age. Imagine a world where we no longer get sick. This is what I will dedicate my life to for you. Not everybody has the passion to take on a career like the one I wish to pursue. Sadly there are far to few people working on such research in this day and age. I want to be that one person that could make a difference for you. I just need you to trust me. I have already obtained one degree. Believe me I won't quit on you. I will follow through all the way. By helping fund my education you could play your hand in impacting the world one day.

Financial Goal:    By my current calculations I need as little as $7000 USD to cover the difference of my education. This will afford me the opportunity to complete a full 4 year curriculum, at that time I will reach the next designated loan amount and be able to pursue my Ph.D. worry free.

Rewards:    Not only are you giving a person the gift of education and the chance to follow his dream and fulfill his destiny but you are giving back to the world by helping fund my education. Everything I ever do with the knowledge I gain will be applied to the betterment of the human race. Not just from my home of America, but to the world.
