Meet Poppy, a clumsy ninja cat that was rescued from the middle of busy road five months ago.She has all the problem a stray cat would have, you name it:.mange, lice, ticks, ear mites... She was weak and in bad shape when we first brought her home.

It took us months and numerous visits to the vet to nurse her back to health. She then became a beautiful, active and lovely cat.

They say curiosity kills a cat, in this case it almost did.

Being only 9 months old, Poppy is curious and playful. She especially like to climb to the window and walk along the window sill. Fearing that she might fall, we always kept the windows shut to prevent such act.

On that faithful day, Poppy manage to slip into the master bedroom (of our 10th floor apartment) and found herself an opened window. To our horror, she fell down from window sill while attempting another walk.

She broke through the roof and was found on the pavement coughing blood, crying in pain. Poppy was immediately rushed to the nearest surgical vet clinic. Her condition was so bad that non of us thought she would make it. The doctor said she would pass on any time. Though clumsy, she has a spirit of a ninja. Poppy managed to pull it through the first and second night in oxygen.

Poppy was diagnosed with pneumothorax (which gave air pockets in the lung cavity resulting in breathing difficulties), head trauma (and swelling in the brain), a broken forearm (her right humerus was snapped into two) and a thorn upper jaw.

After three days her condition was stable enough for the vet to start fixing her broken arm and jaw. However, her medical bill has amounted to more than $800 now, with her surgery pending. We are looking for partial support to Poppy's medical fees to ease our financial burden. Any surplus will be donated to the local PAWS. Thank you so much
