Recently, our families have gone through very hard times. Gretchen, the family friend, lost her husband. He passed away unexpectedly, in the blink of an eye, and left her on her own. She has suffered from debilitating epilepsy her whole life. She suffers such bad attacks that she can’t drive or be anywhere with blinking lights. Her husband used to care for her but now she lives on her own, since they were never able to have children because of her illness. Gretchen is a very funny, intelligent and interesting person who really deserves some happiness in her life. Unfortunately, she has gotten more hardships dealt to her than any of us deserve. Linnea's parents are taking her on this holiday to help her in the grieving process and to lift her spirits. We want to do our part, and really believe that a surprise wedding, on a beautiful island in the sun with good food, music and love would help her find some joy in her life again. Gretchen is the woman in our photos who is wearing a black halterneck top. Next to her is her late husband, Kurt.
