Please help Salem

Update posted by Parthena Ioannidou On Jun 08, 2021

It is so difficult for me to make this post.

Few days ago we went for Salem's seduled exams, ultrasound and urine tests. The good news are that he is finally negative for E.COLI after 36 days of injections with Amikacin. He is going to be on it though for a few more days. Unfortunately another polyp is growing, that makes them two. He still have haematuria and difficulties to urinate. His bladder is like a nectarine and hard, that makes it so difficult for me to help him express any urine.

The next step is a surgery to remove the polyps, send them for biopsy, pray that is noncancerous and make a full recovery. I really miss him play and see him pain free. The new polyp growing very close to his urethra and the vet suggested to have a second surgeon with her that he is a specialist on that type of surgeries.

The cost of the surgery, due the situation, is between 500 euro to 700 euro plus 80 euro for the biopsy.

780 euro needed in a week maximum.

Thank you so much for shared our story and/or donated towards Salem's vet bills.

We spend all donations to previous visits at the vets and for his medications.

We are in desperate need of financial support.

We really need your help now more than ever to spread the word for Salem and help us raise the amount needed.

Unfortunately the surgery have to be done as soon as possible.

I can't afford it for him to have it today.

Our getgofunding and PayPal links are on our bio.

PLEASE HELP US.

Few days ago we traveled to the big city for Salem's vet appointments. We had two apointments in two different vet clinics. He did ultrasounds, blood and urine tests. We had a slight improvement, he is still on Amikacin injections every day and he will be for the next week. After that we will take a brake from antibiotics for ten days and then we have another apointment for ultrasound, blood and urine tests so we can see how he is doing and plan the next steps. About the polyp, both of the doctors suggested to wait till the end of his treatment and the next ultrasound for the biopsy. He still have urinary incontinence but he have a strong appetite, loves to drink water and that's makes me so happy.

He did so well with all the doctors and everyone loved him! The vet clinics are two and a half hours by bus, he did amazing and he didn't complain even once, I am so proud of him 💛

I want to thank everyone who help us with shares, donations and prayers 🙌 you are all so kind with us and I thank you from the button of my heart.
