I would like to thank everyone who prayed and donated for my mother’s hospital bills. However, I would like to ask you to please keep on extending a helping hand in our direction, because as you well know, I have no one else to turn to for support, and my mother’s ordeal is not yet over.

Nov 27, 2018 - Dec 13, 2018

My mother was confined in the hospital.

She had blood transfusion and it was discovered that she has a 13 cm myoma, which the doctor said, is the same size as the head of a new born baby. She couldn’t breathe well for 3-4 days and we had to put an oxygen mask on her. They did a chest x-ray on her and other tests as well to determine what was wrong, and the test results showed that she has cardiomegaly with suggestive multi-chamber enlargement. To make matters worst, she developed a pulmonary embolism complication, and her condition became quite critical. I was so scared because the doctors said that she had a 60% mortality rate during that time. They also told me that they couldn’t operate on her to remove the myoma because her immune system is weak and she also had Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). She couldn’t move her legs because of DVT, but they couldn’t give her any medicine for it, because they explained to me that the medicine for DVT would contradict her medicine for myoma and vice-versa. I didn’t know what to do anymore at that point, but to just cry, because it felt like everything was coming down against us all at once.

9th hospital day

She was advised to transfer to the ICU transfer, but we couldn’t afford it, and my mom decided not to as well because she knew that we didn’t have enough money for it. She was instead referred to Interventional Cardiology and underwent Inferior Vena Cava filter (IVC Filter) insertion via the right femoral vein.

I thank God that she miraculously survived. She was discharged from the hospital last Dec. 23, 2018 (just two days before Christmas) – and for people like us who are on the verge of despair, we consider this to be quite a blessing already. So thank you Lord for this period of grace. Unfortunately, she was rushed back again to the hospital last Dec. 28, 2018 because of her DVT (she almost lost her right leg). The doctors decided she needs her myoma removed ASAP, because they couldn’t treat her DVT and it will make her bleed more.

On January 3, 2019

She had her operation to have her myoma and her entire uterus was removed. Unfortunately during the surgery they saw that she had cancer, and so they froze the tumor, and tested it after a week. It was confirmed after the test that she has Serous CA Ovarian cancer stage 1C2 and Synchronous Endometrial Cancer stage 1A grade 3. I don’t know what to do anymore, and they discharged her last January 12, 2019.

She needs 6 sessions of chemotherapy and possible radiation afterwards, and because of your generous donations she was able to start her chemo last Feb 13, 2019. However, we still need help and prayers. Her next chemo session will be on March 6, 2019, because the doctors said she needs to have a session every 3 weeks. It’s costing us almost 35k per session, plus the medication she needs after chemo, and then add to that her DVT meds, which is costing us almost 5k. Thus for every session, we need to come up with 40k for her to get treated plus her laboratory tests and other medical expenses.

If you wish to verify everything I’ve said here, then all you have to do is contact Dr. Patricia Tan, OB at the Chinese General Hospital and Dr. Jennifer Madera, Oncologist, they can vouch for everything I have said here.

I don’t know where I’ll get that kind of money. I am asking God for a miracle, and perhaps you are one of those miracles he will send our way. I am kindly asking for your help again. Please help me with my mom’s chemo, medicines and other medical expenses. I cannot do this alone. Any little bit of help will be appreciated. I am asking you to help me save my mom’s life. She’s all I have in this world, and I don’t want to lose her. So please, please, please, if you find it in your heart to help us, then please help us. I cannot return the favor, but I pray that your kindness will not go unnoticed by God.
