Campaign Story
Maureen suffers from Protein C and S deficiency, a condition that causes abnormal blood clotting. After recurrent episodes of DVT (blood clots), her quality of life has greatly been affected.
Due to the above, she was recently diagnosed with multiple abdominal vascular compressions (lordogenic midline congestion syndrome) which affect blood flow back to the heart. Due to the obstructed venous outflow, Maureen experiences chronic pain, fatigue, swelling and sometimes dizziness with any activity. She requires urgent surgical interventions.
This fundraising is to help her meet the cost for vascular reconstructive surgeries in Germany and associated costs.
