Hello everyone. The Lesner family is trying to save their pet Peppy, after she had been shot on New Years Day. Peppy is only two years old & was full of life before this tragedy.
Peppy escaped out of the house before we left for the evening. We called her but she did not come back, which is not normal for her. Peppy loves to go out & is very comfortable being outside. We rescued her from the street in Rodwell Park about a 6 months ago. Because we were scared something bad would happen to her we decided to take Peppy in & love her as part of our family.
So, when we came home New Years Eve we called her and she didn't come. This right away had me worried, considering she usually stays close and greets us when we come home. The day after my husband had heard her, so she went outside to find him lying on our deck. She was dirty, hurt; a very sad sight to see. We took her to the Veterinarian hospital to find she has a bullet lodged up in her spine. The Vet is putting in the first $400.00 as a kind act for the bullet removal. Peppy has no control of his functions but still has feeling in her paws and tail. That is a good sign.
If you have or ever had a pet.. dog, cat or even fish. I am sure you know what its like to love them so much and how much it hurts when something happens to them. Our family has been left heart broken, the surgery will cost around $5000, but she has a 80% chance of survival. Please consider helping donate, everything helps and means the world to us. Thank you for ready and God bless.
