Please read starting own tow truck company in memory of our daughter

Good morning good afternoon or good evening. :)

My name is Ronald Mac Rae and I am starting my own towing company.

I have over 15 years experience in the towing industry. I learn something new everyday.

Most jobs pepole have are just a job, for me this is a lifesyle. It's not a job I actauly love doing this, waking up to rescue stranded motorists or having to use all my knowledge (and some borrowed) to do recoveries.

The reason behind this gofundme page is that I cannot get finacing through the banks.

Like most peoploe I do not have a nest egg built up over the years.

(being self employed has its merits and also its downfalls proving to banks )

I'm just like most of us live paycheque to paycheque. I currently run a tow truck and have a oportunity to purchase a truck and become an owner/operator. This requires money, who would have thought you need money to move forward. (wife said it was love) :) (married 28 years 6 beauitiful children 15 grandchildren so far)

We are asking complete strangers to help us in this venture. We have suffered so much loss in the last 2 years. We are asking for a break. Our 24 year old daughter (AMBER ) had open heart surgery in Oct/2014. She had a pacemaker put in and a new heart valve. (We stayed with AMBER during her recovery ) Then in Sept 06 2015 AMBER passed away. (I will not go into detail. Our family never left her side) She leaves behing her 8 year old daughter. Amber always loved to make people smile and she was always the first one to offer a hand. She would help someone out whether she was tired and grumpy and it was 3a.m. (just like a tow truck driver) :)

I want to strart a Tow company in her name AMBER LIGHTS TOWING. (in loving memory of our daughter Amber) She would have loved to be on the rescue missions to help anyone on the side of the road.I startted back into towing on the same day i recived the call to go to the hospital for our daughter. For me it holds alot of significance.

I have local contracts and do most roadside programs. I belive we are there for the pepole not the other way around. At the present I cover 18 private buldings goverment(sgi) and 4 major buisnesses that employs over 100 people. Being on my own I have a lower overhead. I owe less that 2600 on our home to have it paid for in full.

The projected cost of ownership is $30,000.00. (Medium Duty/Heavy Tow Truck)

I have included the cost to buy truck, safety it, licencing fees, insurance, fuel costs, matainance % for breakdowns and for advertising. I will turn this over to an accountent who will control all money matters pertaining to the towing company.

This is something i have to do. I want AMBER to always be remembered. The best way I know how is to have her name associated with helping people everyday. This is what AMBER would have done if she were still here.

It's not easy asking strangers for money to start out on your own.
