Hi, I am Ashley Neal.
I am a web developer and have been out of work for over two years after being laid off from my animal rights nonprofit job. During that time, I’ve started a struggling business, and tried to get a full time job which in itself was a full-time job, and haven’t been able to make enough to get by, despite a lot of help from friends. I have always taken care of myself since I was 17, so this has been a huge blow to me. I have four rescue dogs, 2 whom are being temporarily homed elsewhere while I get myself back on my feet. One is 15+, and may not be around much longer.
Sadly, instead of being able to care for my older dog as I would have loved to, I ended up losing my apartment and then my car, after caught fire last week. I’m stranded, broke, and unable to do anything or go anywhere with my 2 little rescue dogs. Both dogs suffer from epilepsy (seizures) as it is a hereditary thing and they are brother and sister, and very bonded. I am concerned they will be broken up and they were together since birth. Animals are the most important thing in my life and all of my volunteer work is for animals. I would love to raise enough to be able to get housing, keep my dogs, buy a cheap car and be able to work again. I have been about as productive a member of society as one can be for 30 years until my luck went sour, and it has been devastating to my little family. Please help us if you can
Thx!
