Just a brief description of what happened. My husband currently works overseas from June 2020 in Montana, USA (on a farm). On Friday 4 September around 23:20 pm he had an accident on the farm road about 2 miles from his house. The pickup rolled and he fell out. The pickup rolled over him. He was laying there in the field for + - 9 hours. He tried to get to the vehicle to get his phone. He was in and out of consciousness, but he could not really move due to the broken leg and other injuries (he says he tried to move bit by bit but did not get far). The farm roads were quiet throughout the night and no one drove past there. He was laying with that pain all night and did not know if he would wake up the next morning. However, there are many wild animals in the area and it is simply a miracle that he was not attacked during the night.

The next morning 5 September 2020 between 8:00 and 8:20am the farmer of the neighboring farm came across him. He was ice cold. The man first called the Ambulance. Then the emergency Helicopter as well as the Sherrif. Then he called my husband's boss as well as his own parents to bring warm clothes for my husband he was close to hyperthermia. The farmer looked at my husband's injuries to determine how serious it was and said he should lie still because he could not determine if he sustained neck or back injuries. His upper left leg was broken. The left knee was backwards. His jaw was broken on the right side and some teeth were out. So he did not look good. He was all over very blue.

This situation was an emergency situation (life or death) and according to the emergency workers and other spectators at the scene he was not supposed to be alive he looked very bad. They did everything in their power to get him to the hospital quickly and safely so he could receive help.

He was then taken by helicopter to Great Falls Clinic. They prepared him for surgery at 14:00pm. He was in ICU the whole time before and after surgery. At round about 22:15pm he was out of surgery and already awake. They had to put a pen in the leg. They worked on the knee and put wires in the mouth to prevent the other teeth from falling out too they were already loose. They also determined after MRI scans that he had hairline fractures in his back and neck vertebrae. He was taken to a Neuro ward. The nurses, physio and doctors were pleased with his progress and said he did not need to go to rehab. He was discharged on September 9, 2020 around 1:00 p.m. He is currently recovering on the farm and went in on the 21st of September 2020 for his follow-up visits. Doctors are very satisfied. However, he is still unable to work.

We have already received 4 bills. The amounts are very high. It's something we really can't afford at this stage. We really need all the help we can get.
