Dear all ,
my sister in law, Julie Perkins, 55 years old , was taken ill suddenly on 07/02/2014 and ended up in Bristol hospital . After rapid deterioration caused by septicaemia, internal bleeding and stroke she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins high grade large B-cell lymphoma also known as blood cancer . Mass damaged her kidney and part of a bowel .
She spent 3 weeks in ICU and was moved to Oncology/Haematology ward last week. She is very poorly and despite terminal prognosis she is still somehow hanging on. Her brother Neill, who is her closest relative and next of kin and me, are travelling from Herts to Bristol almost every day making 240 miles round trip at £45 cost. We cannot stay in Bristol because our young children need us. We really want and need to spend as much time with her as possible because we love her very much and we don't know how much longer she'll be with us .
Julie is too fragile and doctors are refusing her to be moved anywhere closer to us.
After one month and over 20 journeys we are struggling to fund our visits and are asking for your help - a donation to go towards the cost of petrol .
Thank you for reading this,
