Please help us save our son!

We are turning to you on behalf of our 16 year old son. To protect his privacy we will not refer to him by name.

We have always tried to give to children in need. In desperation, we now find ourselves in need. We cannot express how difficult it is to be the ones to ask for help.

It has been a difficult road. To be honest, often a nightmare. Our son has not been psychologically well for over four long years.

He has tried numerous forms of treatment in Israel. Tragically, none of them were able to meet his needs.

With painful hearts, we have watched him year after year deteriorate. While other children were going to school, playing sports and developing positive social skills and friendships, our son was in and out of treatment and to our horror often living on the streets, frail and barely alive.

These should have been the most energetic years of his life.

If this were not enough of a tragedy, our four younger children have been profoundly impacted by their older brother’s illness.

As much as we try to protect them, the reality is that they are growing up experiencing fear for their brother’s well being and scared for their own.

The immediate and extended family wonder where the sweet, sensitive, caring and creative boy has gone!

In Israel, a child in grave danger and unresponsive to the treatment available typically has only one solution, jail!

We cannot loose our son!

As parents we cannot not give up!

We never stopped searching for a treatment for our son. Recently, our search has lead us to a highly effective treatment center in United States.

He has already begun this treatment. However, the recovery process is a long one. Having him so far away from his family, country, language and culture is heart wrenching. Knowing we are trying to save his life is what motivates us to get through the day.

We are very hopeful that the treatment he is getting will be successful. We trust that he will gain the tools to live with his family and lead a healthy/productive life.

The cost order for him to complete the process is way beyond our means. We need help and that is why we turn to you!
