Dear Friends and Family,I hope you and your loved ones are doing well. I am contacting you in my family’s hour of desperation. To give you a little bit of our history so you can understand the magnitude of our situation.

It started in 2011, the year we bought our first house. We were so excited and felt like we were getting somewhere in life. Bodhi was getting ready to turn 2 years old and my parents were getting ready to return from their second trip to Laos. We closed on the house and moved in one month before my parents returned. I was so proud to be able to have a house for them to be able to come back to.

A little back history on my parents, my dad had a major heart attack in 2005 and was not excepted to live longer than two years. So in their hour of desperation they rushed to visit the homeland before, in his mind, he’d cease to be. This was their first time back since they left in 1976. Long story short he is still alive and not in good health but still kicking. They went to visit again in 2010-2011 having let their home go into foreclosure. It was a hard decision but with all the medical bills and health conditions it was their only option.

Upon their return, we had a home for them to come to. Later that same year Rick, my husband, our main source of income was suffering from chronic migraines and neck pain and needed medical attention and was out of work on short term disability for 6 months. During that time we were not suffering but it did hurt our savings account. Due to this leave money was getting tight and was release to go back to work a bit prematurely. Which cause extra issues in the long run. Having said that, he asked his HR department if he had to leave again would it be within his allotted time available. He was given the ok. Although the HR person overlooked something and it was not ok but they couldn’t fire him. This again put us further behind. Later he was laid off along with 40 other employees in 2012. This was the first blow that put us in a downward spiral.

During the first run of my husbands short term leave I started applying for jobs and to no avail. I tried everything and never received one call back. So finally I decided to go back to school. This helped me land a job in the beginning of 2013. Rick found work but at a fraction of his pay.

To bring it all together he lost his job again and now we are getting ready to be foreclosed on. We have until October 31st to come up with $3,800. This doesn't included our electricity being ready to be cut off. I am working 2 part time jobs and going to school full time and only make enough to cover food and some utilities. Rick is currently seeking employment and will not meet our deadline.

Thank you sincerely for your time and consideration.
Ping, Rick and Family
