PLEASE HELP US FIND NATHAN’S CANCER

If the term "Race against time " ever had any meaning, than it would be now. Nathan's previous campaign introduced BWS syndrome to many people for the first time, and the specific clinical procedures in managing this rare syndrome is mostly in place to monitor and diagnose cancer. BWS increases the risk of cancer quite a bit and it places high risk in the first 3 years of life and moderate risk up to age 9.

Our preciouses Baby Nathan is now 16 Months and the reality of BWS syndrome has officially set in.

The Main Cancer screening is done by Blood works specifically the AFP test (ALPHA-FETOPROTEIN) and if positive MRI / CT has to be done to determine where the cancer is, This is a tumor Marker and can be used for diagnosing cancer in the Liver, Pancreas kidneys, Colon, Gastric system and Testes.

NATHANS AFP TEST WAS DONE A WEEK AGO AND TESTED POSITIVE WITH A COUNT OF 45 ug/l

Our Pediatrician advised us to have a re-test done and the next day we did. RESULT's = 48 ug/l

We then were advised to wait a couple of days and redo the Tumor marker test (AFP test ) We waited 4 days which seemed never ending and redid the test.

RESULT = 58 ug/l

The progressive elevation in these results call for a Full CT and maybe a full MRI ASAP. We are asking for any assistance in this regard in order for us to track down the root of the elevating AFP levels in order to find the tumor/Cancer.

Seeing our son so very ill in the past couple of months is nothing compared to thinking about you 16 month old baby boy having cancer.
