SOS! WE NEED URGENT HELP!

Our situation is desperate. This fundraiser was supposed to raise funds for cat food and vet bills for our rescue and colony cats, for February & March. It is now the end of April and we managed to raise only $657, thanks to only a few of our dedicated supporters.

I am dealing with serious personal adversity - on 27 January during a storm and relentless downpour, a creek next door flooded my home. I had a narrow escape. My car was totally submerged, I've lost 99% of my possessions and the house is undergoing extensive repairs now. I will post photos on our page.

Dealing with the aftermath is difficult - emotionally and physically draining. I had to take two months off and the team had to focus on our cats’ well-being (no animals were injured). I can’t thank them and our foster guardians enough for their support, kindness and generosity - they were buying cat food with their own money.

In this crucial time I have to ask our kind supporters for help with the essential costs of running the rescue - cat food and vet bills. Please, donate! Thank you very much!

Happy New Year, dear supporters! We hope that everyone has had a wonderful festive season. Now that the holidays are over it is time for us to raise funds for our cat food (dry & canned) and for our ongoing vet bills for February and March. So, we need your kind and generous help again.

ABOUT US

Bulgarian Stray Cats Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre (BSCRRC) is run by a small team of dedicated animal lovers. We rescue, treat, rehabilitate & re-home Bulgarian cats in distress.

There are literally thousands upon thousands of stray cats in Bulgaria and they are doing it very tough, especially during winter. Their life on the streets is a constant struggle with the elements, diseases, hunger and cat-haters.

Our most recent example of the above statement is kitten Simba's sad story. At just 3 months old, while looking for a warm place, he was kicked in the head with such a force, which caused brain damage and dislocated his eyeballs. It disabled him for life. His recovery is going to be long and with limited results. He is unadoptable and will stay with us for the rest of his life: LITTLE KITTEN SIMBA WAS KICKED IN THE HEAD OUT OF SPITE.

But we have some good news too. Do you remember the two baby kittens we took on board in November? We found lovely homes for them: PEPPER IS ADOPTED. MEKICHKA - RESERVED!
