Campaign Story
Good day
I hope this request finds you well.
By way of introduction, my name is Bianca mother to an amazing 12-year-old son named Tyler. He is a 2nd Kyu Brown Belt and is currently ranked in the top 3 athletes in South Africa. He has been doing karate since the age of six and is very passionate about his sport and gives it his all and works very hard towards achieving his goals, knowing that hard work pays off!
Tyler absolutely loves karate. He puts his mind, heart and soul into each competition, no matter how big or small. He is a grade 7 student and thrives academically and works very hard at balancing life between school and karate.
This page has been created to help Tyler achieve his karate goals and dreams for the year of 2023. Tyler has been dedicated to his karate training since a very young age and has been selected to participate in multiple national tours with the Protea team. He has recently been selected to participate in the Goju-kai European Championships in Italy, and he needs everyone’s help in order to get there. This tour has to be self-funded and we would truly appreciate the assistance to help Tyler get to Italy.
Tyler has achieved greatly in his career as an athlete and his results over the past couple years are as follows:
2022 Year
National Bloemfontein League- 1st place Kata and 3rd Kumite
Arnold Classic Championships- 1st place Kata and 3rd Kumite
National Elite Championships- 2nd place Kata
National Championships- 3rd place Kata
2021 Year
Arnold Classic Championships- 1st place Kata and 1st Kumite
National Elite Championships- 3rd place Kata and 1st Kumite
National Championships- 2nd place Kata and 3rd Kumite

Tyler was also selected as a national team member to compete in the UFAK Region South tournament. This tournament saw him go up against countries from the bottom half of Africa including Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, etc. Tyler won his division and became the Southern African Champion for the 10-11 year old male kata division.
He was also selected to attend the World Youth Cup in Croatia, and the Commonwealth Championships held in Birmingham in 2022. Unfortunately, due to finances he was not able to go, but we would like to make his dream of competing in Italy a reality. Any donations towards his cause would be truly appreciated and he would be extremely grateful to you all.

Thank you for taking the time to read through my request.
