Please help to save Treacle

Please help our 7 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Treacle. She's a family pet and like a sister to me. I have suffered from anxiety and depression for years and she has always been my shoulder to cry on.

She has recently developed a massive growth the size of a tennis ball in her throat. We have had our vet check it out and were told that it could be two things. Either a massive abscess that needs to be drained as soon as possible or the infection could kill her or a tumour. We were told we would not be able to find out which one it is until we have had an x-ray on her which is £850. My parents and I have not got that kind of money and we refuse to just leave her to die or get her put down if it is possible to save her.
