*UPDATE*
First of all, thank you to all those who have already donated. Secondly, although we haven't managed to raise enough to cover the cost of the operation, we've agreed to have the surgery performed and Tali is currently on the operating table. We're optimistic that we'll be able to raise more funds to cover the cost, as the fracture clinic will only ask for payment on discharge - which could
Ideally we will be able to raise enough to cover the full cost, and so we are still welcoming donations from anyone who would like to help. We'll also be holding a few fundraising events and we'll keep you updated on those as well.
Hopefully the surgery will go smoothly and she'll be able to start making a full recovery. We'll keep you updated on how it all goes, but please don't stop spreading the word to anyone who may want to help!
On the 13th October, this dog was hit by a car near the Jersey Farm Hotel (nr Barnard Castle) and rescued by Jessica Shepherd. After being taken to the vets and undergoing an xray, we have been told that she has fractured both of her hind legs, as well as having a fractured AND dislocated pelvis. The required surgery could cost anything between £2000 and £4000.
As yet, no owner has come forward, but unless a decision is made to have the surgery done before Tuesday the 16th, she will be put down. We are therefore appealing for donations in order to pay for the surgery and save this beautiful little dogs life.
For those of you wishing to donate but are dubious about the currency being dollars, the reason for this is that most crowdsharing websites only allow fundraising for business or community projects, Go Get Funding allow fundraising for any project but work in Dollars as it is the most widely used currency. Donations are made in dollars, but you can use http://www.google.com/finance/converter to figure out how much you would like to donate.
Thank you in advance for the support
