Please Help Tatay Danilo With His Hospital Bills.

We seek your help to cover the medical bills for COVID+ diagnosis and a Gall Bladder Operation resulting to more than 35 days (and counting) of stay in Cebu Doctor’s Hospital.

This crowdfunding is for my father, Danilo Tenebro (affectionately called Tatay) -- a doting lolo to his grandkids: Gian, Lizette and Daehan, and a former government employee.

Tatay Danilo is an advocate of a healthy lifestyle for seniors and retirees. To promote this, he encourages his friends to take up his hobbies, too: biking, jogging, and playing basketball pickup games. He also actively gives back to his community in Tisa.

Tatay Danilo is 70 years old, and despite a healthy lifestyle, he has pre-existing conditions due to his advancing age. During one of his routine check-up in a hospital, he contracted the deadly virus, COVID19. He also got recently operated on for gall-bladder issues.

We’d love for you to read on the progression of what happened, and its impact on our family:

• COVID ran its course with less resistance than the typical young adult – he was immunocompromised.
• Spent 3 weeks in ICU, 2 weeks intubated -- life support ventilator.
• Virus thrived on his lungs, causing life-threatening damage.
• No one was allowed to comfort or see him while in ICU.
• Medical team managed and monitored his progress
• Deemed viable for ICU release, and placed on supplemental oxygen through nasal cannula.
• Oxygen percentage inflow regulated to lower levels.
• Making progress, but family has not been able to see him yet.
• Moved to a regular room, breathing on his own, and can now move about in his room. (A win, thank God!)
• Family allowed to get have one-at-a-time, regulated visits.
• Gall bladder complications arose; Surgery advised.

We are forever grateful to the grace of our Creator who has blessed my father with a life extension.

It’s still a long road to recovery both medically and financially. While we are elated at my father's recovery, the bills are still piling up.
