Please help these up and coming Student Ambassadors travel around the world as part of their education.
Jordan and Quincy Campbell attend Thornton Donovan School in New Rochelle, NY. TD is a thematic school that gives students the opportunity to be International Student Ambassadors and to study abroad. "Our students learn about a piece of history or a part of the world during the school year, then at the end of the year, they go! The entire Middle and Upper schools literally take education on the road." http://td.edu/theme/
Jordan has been selected to be a Student Ambassador to Italy and possibly to Japan; and Quincy has been asked to go back to Belize later this school year. But of more urgency, they both will be part of a school-wide trip to Iceland, Denmark, and Sweden in April 2015. "For the 2014-2015 school year, we will voyage in our minds, and in the spring with our bodies, to Iceland, Denmark and Sweden. The music and art, history and politics, architecture and literature of the Scandinavians are woven together in an elegant way with wonderfully specific electives. Learning, therefore, is absorbed organically." http://td.edu/theme/
While these opportunities are exciting, they come with a cost. They depart for their school-wide trip to Iceland, Denmark, and Sweden on April 6 and we still need to raise another $2,000 (of the total $10,000). I am extremely proud that Jordan and Quincy each won a $2,500 scholarship based on their talent, creativity and academic excellence. We are also grateful for $500 in donations that we have already received. Our time is running out. Any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
Your contribution will assist Jordan and Quincy in becoming world citizens distinguishing themselves as ambassadors for their school and nation.
Thank you and God Bless,
The Campbell FamilyPS. We will also need to raise $3,000 for Jordan to be able to go to Italy and Japan, and $1,000 for Quincy to be able to go to Belize, but we have slightly more time for those trips
