Please help Hins’s last days

Dear all cat lovers,

This is Hins, the community cat in my Block. Hins is a very tame, well behaved senior male cat loved by the residents.

I have only moved in my block for 2 months and one day, Hins managed to sneak into my room. I noticed Hins has a wound on his nose and the wound looks quite serious with drooling and has unpleasant smell. I have managed to trap and send Hins to the vet where intensive tests were conducted. After waiting anxiously for a week, my suspicion was confirmed. Hins was diagnosed with nose cancer.

I have also managed to find a fosterer for Hins. She has taken Hins to a specialist to have a in depth diagnosis and see what we can do. Unfortunately, there are not much hope as the cancer has spread. The specialist did not recommend chemo therapy as Hins is quite a senior cat (around 10yo) and radiotherapy is not available in Singapore.

With such conclusion, we have decided to let Hins spend his remaining days with the fosterer where he will be well taken care of and safe from the harsh weather.

Unfortunately, taking care of a cat with terminal illness is not easy and it is estimated to cost around $5 to $10 per day including food, pee pads, supplements, etc. I am not in a strong financial position, as well as the fosterer. The costs incurred so far for Hins was around $900 (inclusive of consultation, tests, diagnosis, Grabs, fostering, meds and supplements). Although my neighbour has been kind enough to chip in, most of the expenses were covered by myself and I don’t think I can afford to go on any further with my current financial situation.

According to my neighbours, Hins was a tray cat for as long as they can remember. Since his remaining times is only months, I would like Hins to have a home where he will be well taken care of and live his life joyfully until he passes. As such, i would appreciate if you guys could help with the fostering costs for Hins. No amount is too small for Hins.

We are also looking for a sponsor or adopter for this poor boy as well.
