Rex is an 11 year old lab. He is the sweetest goodness boy ever. We rescued him 6 years ago and he is my first dog. I am very attached to him and he has many health problems. Recently he ate a large rock because he wasn't feeling good and it became stuck in his stomach. He tried to throw it up for days, but would only throw up his food. Because of this he has become really skinny because he tries to throw up the rock before he has digested his food. We took him to the vet, he was there all day and they couldn't bring it back out of his mouth. He is now staying overnight for fluids and monitoring. The vet said he needs surgery to remove the rock. Our only other option is to wait and see if he passes it, with the risk of blockage, causing him extreme pain. My family doesn't have the money for another treatment for him. The surgery alone is $7,000, on top of his steroids and his many vet appointments. Please help me save my baby, he means the world to me and losing him would kill me and my family. I have a 7 year old sibling who isn't ready for this type of trauma.
