PLEASE HELP SAVE OUR HOME

My husband, a gifted surgeon, has dedicated his life and career to saving lives and trying to make the quality of patients lives better. Many patients had no insurance or financial resources so we cared for them at no charge. Now we desperately need help to save our home.

He developed Hodgkins Lymphoma just over two years ago and underwent six months of chemotherapy. He couldn’t operate because of the side effects of the chemotherapy but he was still able to see a few patients for consultations and did insurance evaluations and reports.

Shortly after finishing the chemotherapy he became gravely ill and was hospitalized with sepsis and two kinds of pneumonia. He spent a total of ten weeks in the hospital and almost six of those weeks on a respirator in intensive care in addition to undergoing multiple surgeries and procedures.

He then went to a rehabilitation hospital for six weeks to learn how to walk, sit, stand, climb stairs, write, etc. After being there for six weeks, he had to go back for outpatient rehabilitation for another six months.

During this time I was able to keep the bills for the office and our home paid but used up all of our personal savings and retirement savings in the process. Now we’re behind on our mortgage payments and are facing foreclosure very soon. Medical bills are piling up and we’re struggling to pay for food, medicine and basic necessities.

I’m recuperating from a recent hospitalization for cardiac issues after having open heart surgery a few years ago. Our adult daughter lives with us but has been a diabetic since a young age and has serious medical issues from the diabetes in addition to PTSD and anxiety disorders.

We have always been there for others and now find ourselves in desperate need of help. If we lose our home we have nowhere to go and such a sudden move will be devastating.
