“Hi, my name is Miri. I am 3 years old, and I live in a hospital in Israel. I am being treated for leukemia. The type of leukemia I have is very rare. The doctors told me that they know of only one other patient fighting the same leukemia. Because it is so rare, there is a lot the doctors do not know, making it very dangerous.
The cancer has spread to my heart, making me very weak. The doctors say that my house is too small and not well ventilated, so I can’t live at home. I used to share a room with my 4 siblings, but since my parents don’t have enough money for a larger house, I can’t even go home to my family between treatments. I have to live in the hospital.
Everyone tells me that I’m a good girl...that I am strong and brave. But it is hard to be so strong. I want to go home. It is lonely and sad in the hospital. I just want to be with my brothers again. I haven’t been home for almost a year.
I wish you would help my parents expand their home, so that I could see my family again. I don’t want to live here alone anymore.”
Please help little Miri. The love and support of her family nearby will give her the strength she needs to battle this serious disease. Please donate to support her medical treatment, and to bring her home.
