Please help save Bunso

Please allow me to introduce my sister's story. Her name is Shereene. She's the youngest out of five siblings, a nursing graduate and a registered nurse. Her life was just starting when she was diagnosed with lupus nephritis. She's 23 at the time, now she's 34. She started doing dialysis in 2013, merely a year after our father's passing. He was a dialysis patient as well, he passed away when he was only 51.

My sister has been through a lot. Pneumonia became like a common cold for her. Things are extra tough during the pandemic because she's always a suspected Covid carrier. Blood transfusion almost quarterly. Her arms all used up for dialysis access.

She's a passionate baker. She taught herself how to bake and sells her themed-cakes and other goodies to help support her medical bills. She's a very caring and generous friend; even taught her bestfriend how to bake as well - now she's an owner of a small bakeshop.

Fast forward to today, we rushed her to the ER last July 30 due to gastro problem. Aside from that, she experienced asthma-like symptoms due to fluids in her lungs. She tested positive in the antigen test, but negative in the rt-pcr test. We repeated the rt-pcr test today, awaiting result. If it's positive, she needs the covid treatment remdesivir for five days. Her pulmonologists requires us to do HEMOPERFUSION, because a lot of markers in her lab tests shows that she has a lot of inflammation. As of yesterday, our bill is at P138,000.00 excluding professional fees of her 6 doctors. The hemoperfusion costs P60,000.00 per session and she needs 6 sessions. My credit card is almost maxed out. We were rejected by DSWD because we asked for some assistance just last June. They say we can only ask for help once per qtr.

I am knocking on your hearts to please help me save my sister, our Bunso. May the good Lord protect you and your family always. Help us fight this battle with her. She wants to live!
