PLEASE HELP RUPESH

Rupesh is a very sweet child of 3.9 years and is suffering from Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy is a rare disorder that happens to children during birth. Oxygen deprivation during birth causes an injury in the head which in turn causes a considerable amount of damage in the brain cells. As such our child Rupesh is not as normal as any other kid of his age should be. He cannot sit on his own, cannot walk, his vision is impaired and as such cannot do any activities that a normal healthy child of his age can do. He needs medical attention as soon as possible and if left untreated the chances of his further development will be impossible.

 Rupesh is at present undergoing Stem Cells treatment from New Delhi and it is working graet for him. He has developed a lot as compared to his earlier condition before his Stem Cells Treatment. Now he can see to a small distance, he can hear sounds and respond to the as well, he is also trying hard to speak small words. He still cannot sit, walk or see clearly. He can’t speak properly as well. His next phase Stem Cells treatment is due next month i.e. June’2013.

The full recovery from this rare disorder is possible only when the parents put in their maximum efforts and do not miss any session of Stem Cells, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Visual Stimulation etc. The human brain develops in the first 6-7 years of birth and then it stops developing any further.

 Unfortunately over here in India none of the insurance companies provide cover for Cerebral Palsy and Stem Cells Treatment. The treatment requires the family to travel to New Delhi and stay in a service apartment with cab facility to the hospital. The Stem Cells treatment is a costly one and each sitting cost us an amount of Rs 432000 in Indian Currency ($8000.00 approximately). Rupesh is undergoing this treatment from the last two years.

The fundraising will significantly help his family during this unexpected time of need and allow his parents to fully focus on Rupesh's speedy recovery.

The money raised will go to help with the treatment costs for Rupesh. His father, Somnath, basically an average employee working with a multinational company on a paltry salary has spend everything that they had for the various treatment of Rupesh in different hospitals.
