Please help Ronald get 1 year treatment for his Crohn’s Disease

Hello, I am Clavel, mother of Ronald Caraos. We are reaching out to everyone who might be able to help pay for my child’s treatment costs for at least 1 year.

My son has been battling Crohn’s Disease for almost seven years now. He’s had on and off flare ups, sending him to the hospital multiple times in a year. I am currently unemployed, thus unable to support him, as I am also caring for my mother who has dementia.

He’s in pain at all waking hours every day, making it hard for him to move. Even a little bit of food will send him to the bathroom. He doesn’t talk much as it eats away the little energy that he has. It breaks our hearts to see him waste away while we can’t do anything about it because of our financial incapacity. We’ve provided all we can, together with our friends and family, but it’s still difficult to buy even our daily necessities.

We have exhausted all means to pay for his previous treatments, and now we’re burdened with loans, credit card debts, and piled up bills because of his frequent hospitalizations. We’ve tried all kinds of treatment, as well, including oral and biologic. Because we’re unable to pay for his medications continuously, he has developed an immunity to many medicines.

Now, we have another chance to try a new brand of biologic medicine. However, we’re unable to cover the costs. It’s a lifetime condition, meaning we need to keep up with his expensive treatments; otherwise, he may become immunized again. We’re asking for any kinds of help at this difficult time, especially when his condition is flaring up again. We need to source funds for at least year of treatment plan to get him started right away as advised by his doctor. However, we do need ongoing support.

I only want my son to experience a normal life - go to work, eat out, and have a family. At this point, seeing him eat at the dinner table would be a blessing for us. If you can offer any type of help, we’ll be extremely grateful. Thank you in advance, and God bless you all.
