Nguy?n V?nh Phú, born on 11/24/1996, is currently a student of B?n Tre High School for the gifted (http://chuyenbentre.edu.vn/homepage.php). He has been one of the top students and was selected by the school to compete in a province-wide competition for Math/Computer Science. His teachers and school are hopeful that he will compete in the national competition as well. (For those of you who do not know about the Vietnamese education system, it is an extremely arduous and competitive process to be selected for these competitions.)
Unfortunately, he was recently diagnosed with leukemia (cancer of the blood) and will need to receive treatment throughout the next couple months at a total cost of over $15,000 USD. He will also need additional financial help for the Stem Cell Transplantation after that. His parents make less than $7/day. His family will not be able to afford this by themselves so we are reaching out to you to help support this talented young man through this time of need.
