Please help my son “Toto Dennis” for his Esophageal mass removal/surgery.

I am Luzviminda Blancia Polidario, 70 years of age, his mother. A resident of Barangay Batonan Norte, Culasi, Antique, Philippines. I am knocking in your generous hearts to please help my son Dennis B, Polidario, 49 years of age for his medical treatment. My son worked before as a PUV driver (Antique – Iloilo route), until this happened.

It started last November 2020 when my son started to feel unwell. After eating, he always experiences mild vomiting. At first, he thinks that it is just hyper acidity.

From January – February 2021, he underwent a series of health checkups from a local doctor available in our town, but all results were negative.

It was March 2021 when he noticed a drastic change in weight and appearance due to loss of appetite and the strict diet that he had. The doctor suspected he had gallstones and suggested for him to take several laboratory tests and an ultrasound procedure.

It was April 8, 2021 when he went to have another check up from a local doctor in our town. In that check up, the doctor informed that there is a polyp in his gallbladder. The doctor prescribed him with antibiotics for 7 days hoping that it can be treated with medicine. After completing the antibiotics, it was time to have a follow up check-up. Unfortunately, the doctor passed away due to covid-19 virus. That sad news meant that all of us had to go on a home quarantine for 14 days, which greatly affected my son’s health condition.

Worried with his condition, we tried our best to have him a medical checkup in Iloilo City despite of financial constraints and difficulties because of this pandemic, that was May 5. The doctor wanted him to undergo Endoscopy, but it did not happen that time because we cannot afford to pay for the procedure which cost around 15,000 pesos. We only gathered a certain amount from our relatives and friends, for him to have a medical check up in Iloilo City. He only has checkup that time and went home to Antique.

With the help of our relatives and friends, we were able to gather a certain amount that will cover the payment for Endoscopy and follow up checkup. It was last May 10 when we went back to Iloilo City for his Endoscopy procedure. The doctor found out that there is a 90% blockage in his esophagus, which is the reason for his difficulty to eat. A biopsy was also done to check the Esophageal mass. Days later, his blood pressure became low by which the doctor suggested that he should be confined in a hospital and a blood transfusion was needed. We need to prepare for his Esophageal mass removal/surgery and medications for an amount of 200,000 pesos.

Because of this we are knocking in your generous hearts to please help my son recover from his illness.
