Please Help My Sister Survive- Emergency Kidney Transplant

Hi, My Name is Cielo Guiao. I am 21 years old and I live in the Philippines. We are a family of 5. My father is into farming and mother is a homemaker. I have a brother and sister too. Our farm which our father used to work is not doing very well and the COVID situation has put us in a very less privileged status.

My sister's name is Shara Guiao and she is 28 years old. She was working in Dubai and was the only one to take care of our expenses back home as my dad's earnings didn't leave us much money for our expenses and studies.

2019 – Shara was diagnosed with Kidney Failure

Unfortunately, in the year 2019, Shara was diagnosed with Stage 5 Kidney failure and was immediately brought back to the Philippines for further treatment. She has been on continuous dialysis 3 days a week since, to help her move on with her daily routines. We try a lot to make ends meet regarding the medical charges including dialysis which are approximately 15,000 PHP/month. Shara, despite her health condition, used to work to support her medical expenses. Now her situation is critical since the continuous dialysis has taken a toll on her heart and the doctors have suggested an immediate kidney transplant.

Donating my kidney – The Only Hope Now Finding a compatible kidney donor is the only way to bring my sister back to life. We had great trouble in getting donors, and the failure to find one has made me an option to be considered. We are thankful that my kidney is compatible and that gives us some hope.

Shara is a young girl with aspirations, who just started living her youth. Her positive outlook towards life and her immense faith and gratitude towards the LORD’s blessings have made her come this far. She is a strong young girl and now she along with her family members are asking the community to help us perform this surgery. Being the only way out to withstand her life, please support us by donating. We are hopeful that by this fundraiser we will be able to bring our Shara back to life. Funds needed for her medical expenses

The procedure along with tests, surgeons, and other doctors' fees, will cost us more than PHP 2.3 M. For better insight am including the breakup of the medical expenses involved.

According to the doctor the following are the expenses:-

• Lab tests- PHP 400k
• Professional fee- PHP 975 k
• Post surgery- anti rejection drugs- PHP 450k
• Post surgery check up- PHP 250k
• Maintenance and medicine post surgery- PHP 75k every month (Approximate only)
