Hi, my sister and the mother of two sweet, little girls was just diagnosed with beginning stage 3 colorectal cancer. She will have 6 weeks of chemo / radiation with an hour drive back and forth from the hospital, followed by surgery and months of more chemo. We are hopeful that it is curable and she will be able to get healthy and raise her 2 children and grow old together. She is only 32 and she is a strong, positive, generous person, with the kindest heart. She adores her two little girls who are 4 and 5 years old. My sister is also an elementary educator but currently is grateful to be a stay at home mom. I know she is incredibly fortunate to have her wonderful little girls and such terrific family and friends. Life has just thrown her a curve ball and in order for her to fully focus on fighting this, it's important that she doesn't have to worry about the many new financial burdens that come with this diagnosis. One of her two, older vehicles is no longer drivable and the added medical expenses have made buying necessities and paying bills difficult. She has always been able to support her young family on her own and making the decision to ask for help was difficult. However, at this time we are asking for your support. We know that we are lucky to have so many blessings in our lives and when this is over, we will look forward to paying it forward in any ways that we can. Any support, no matter how small, will be incredibly appreciated and we will be forever grateful.
